OK, with help from one of my trusty books, how about we start off with this one?
Starts at the carpark at Wirral Country Park, Caldy
Here's a Google Map link.
Postcode is CH61 0HN
Distance 3 miles
Time 2 hours
We walk along an abandoned railway line for about 1 mile, then head towards the West Kirby Marine Lake where the dogs can have a splash, walk along the waterfront for a mile, then head back through a few streets to the abandoned railway line again and back to the carpark once more.
I've never done this walk before, and Charlie picked it completely randomly out of a shortlist I had made up
So, who's up for this one?
Cheers
Ness

me, me, me (and Pud of course!). I've even ordered my new waterproofs and walking boots especially! I'm free for all of those dates so far (am i the only one who never has anything planned that far in advance!) the sooner the better so we can get some more in before summer is officially over (can live in hope!).
I know the area well and it is beautiful.......Honey loves West Kirby. I may come.......just not sure if it's too much for her, she's only coming up to 9 months. What do you think? I will keep looking to see when you all decide to go.....
i am up for this but like jazzsmum i have to work some weekends, and at the moment doing a few extra to help with the holiday cover, so i will keep an eye out for which ever date gets chosen and keep my fingers crossed it doesnt clash with work, bank holiday is out as thats when we plan to walk up scafell pike so will be in the lake district

dont worry about the distance, honey will easily manage it, our zak is also 9 months and easily coped with our 2 weeks walking hol in cornwall which we have just returned from, we were avaraging 8 to 10 miles per day, we have built him up to this gradually over the last few months as i know that you have to look after their joints, Honey will be fine.
Thanks for the reassurance......It sounds good. I am all over the place date wise over the next few weeks so wouldn't like to give a set date. I will watch and see what suits everybody else and see what happens.....!
I will try to come with Kelly as I love walking. Cannot make 5th August as I will be working on my truck getting it ready for its test on Monday the 6th but should be able to make one of the other dates.
