The wee-ing is proving the trickiest. I have him to wee/#2 in a good spot and I keep taking him there every hour. Sometimes he will wee, sometimes he won't.
I'm doing just as the book says and trying to avoid him working out that if he 'fakes' a wee need, then he gets to go outside. So as soon as he starts playing I take him in but if he does wee, I praise him a lot then play ball.
I think the wee-ing could take me a few days.
He never wee'd in his crate though and was waiting for us at 5am. So I got him out and took him outside an he duly went. I just expected him to go more through the day.
He's gorgeous. Keep it up. Before you know it he'll be a bouncing six-month old boy who's up to all sorts. Did no-one mention the teenage years?
Do bring him to meet us at Formby in August. You'll have to carry him a bit I think, as he won't walk far at that stage. He'll enjoy the company of the others, and they'll show him a few tricks .
Good luck with your puppy! Really wouldn't give him gravy on his food right now - gravy powder is very high in salt - not good for puppy at this young age, plus the more tastes you give him, the likelihood is the more fussy he will become - warmish boiled water is fine, it will make the kibble taste and smell really nice for him and will in turn make a gravy-type sauce for his dinner!
