Hi,
when we got Rolo, the breeder's vet said it was a hernia.

But our vet said that Rolo's wasn't a true hernia, more of a fatty lump and that nothing could come out as is the danger with a hernia, because the hole was 'sealed'. Therefore the fatty bit will alsways be there. It was left alone when she was spayed because the vet said it was purely cosmetic. She's been fine. Here it is........

My little Sam has a small hernia on her belly - its never caused a problem and the vet has advised to just leave it alone.

One of my cats as a kitten had an umbilical hernia and she had to go into the vets to have it sorted. Not really much of an op and she was totally fine afterwards.
