LMAO So Becs, should I personalise your winners certificate now then?
And if you're REALLLY sure.... do you think it's safe for me to get the gold medal engraved Smile

An excellent idea Scubabe! I have my winners speech already at the 2nd draft stage and it only needs a bit of tweeking nearer the time!

Now, some questions about the sausage and spoon race..... I feel I was disadvantaged last time as my sausage was unbalanced due to an extra piece of rogue gristle which weighted it at one end (This wasn't proven as Ugo ate it but there is little doubt in my mind that this was the cause of our defeat!) So, in view of this, is it acceptable to bring our own sausage and cutlery?

<<Becs goes back to her graph of the equation of the weight/mass/dimensions of the entire range of sausages for sale in local Tescos>>

this looks like fun hehehehe

i have some questions though....

is this just for labs??

if not, can i take 2 dogs in for let sleeping dogs lie?

and can treats be used to make the dogs sit for example?

and don't tell becs, i'll let her believe she can win but theres no way she'll beat me and Alfie at the sausage and spoon race so don't engrave that medal just yet Wink

G'day Lacey,

It might be called Labralympics, but we're all pretty accomodating people, I reckon we'll be able to sneak in a cocker without ruffling anyone's feathers Smile So of course you're welcome to enter with Billy!

You certainly can take 2 dogs into the games, but I would advise against multiple dogs for one handler with Musical Sits... because it is the dogs competing there, if one of your dogs is "ousted" as the last dog to sit, then all 3 of you would be eliminated.

No lures/treats (unless you're doing sausage and spoon race) hehehe
The reason for this is because I think we might have a lot of entrants in the games, and we only have a limited time frame (one hour) to finish all games... it works out to only 10 mins per game, and if we've got 50 labs playing musical sit or sleeping dogs lie, then it could take a lot longer than 10 mins if everyone is using lures. I certainly can't run overtime, we HAVE to be finished by 11.30am.

Promise, I haven't done any engraving Smile

Ozzie has just had a hissyfit at me.
The kitchen table is piled high with a HUGE pile of prizes for the Labralympics, and I won't let him eat or play with *any* of them Smile
He barked and howled and pretty much threw himself on the floor and kicked his feet Smile Hilarious!!!
Such a poor, hard-done-by puppy, my Ozzie.

Oh, and Becs.... forget those Tesco cocktail sausages, we've gone upmarket for these ones... get yer Iceland catalogue out Smile

I'm off to wrap all these prizes!!!

Darn it Evil or Very Mad <<<rips up Tesco-sausage-spreadsheet and heads off to Iceland>> So much for my cunning plan Evil or Very Mad

Lacey and Bernie......I admire your spirit, and yet so misguided!!!
I have already been onto the nice photographer-chappy about mounting my winning sausage alongside my 1st Rossette and a photo of myself and Ida accepting the Trophy Shocked

Maybe next year I'll stand down and let you have a chance....and in the meantime, I'll see you both at the winning post (although I'll be there quite some time before you!!! Twisted Evil )

Becs ("come here my precious" as in Lord of the Rings Style) and the Gang
