Hi Everyone,

I just thought I'd let you all see how Aura is doing considering all the threads about Solo's babies. She is now 9 weeks old and is a little madam!!! I've already found teethmarks where they shouldn't be and poor Dusk's whelping box is not going to last her puppies because Aura keeps having a nibble every time she passes Laughing

Aura has settled in extremely well and is best buddies with Kire at the moment. Dusk is being nice to her but has her own babies to look after and as usual Jinx won't even acknowledge that she's in the house! It took 3 weeks for Kire to be accepted and each day that passes I can see that Jinx is coming round to idea of another addition.

It would be nice to see how the other pups are getting on and I promise Mhairi that I will call soon!

As sod's law goes I had tried Dusk twice before and she missed each time. I had always liked Mhairi's bitches and if I remember there wasn't a lot between the timing of her pups being born and Dusk being mated. I thought I would give Dusk another go but if it didn't work, then I was resigned to nature telling me it wasn't to be. I wasn't going to put her through lots of blood tests and examinations and to be perfectly honest our local vets don't have much experience in advanced dog breeding.

So, like I say, sod's law, Dusk falls pregnant and produces 8 healthy puppies!!! I haven't ruled out keeping a pup from this litter but if I want to live to a ripe old age, don't anyone tell my husband Laughing

I have since found out that the sire of my other bitch has failed his eye test for HC's so that throws up lots of questions and re-thinking of my plans.
