Truly is on Royal Canin, has been since she was weaned, and so we kept her on the same thing as what the breeder had fed as it seemed like a good food (from what I read?) and didnt want to upset her tum etc.
Well we will need to buy some more soon, and the breeder said to put her onto the junior one after she had finished this one,(maxi babydog ultra sensible) but I dont know if we should change to a different food?
I basically want to give her whatever is the best one, is this a case of different opinions or is there fact that their is one superior dry food and if so what is it please and would it be ok to change if I swapped over slowly over a few days/week?
Or is Royal Canin ok and we should just go onto junior next? She is 14 weeks today. I dont know what to do and need to order some soon (she seems to have gone through the sack very quickly )
I was thinking of james wellbeloved or burns as an alternative but really cant figure out if I need to change, they seem to offer more flavours than just the normal stuff that she has with the royal canin
Bailey's been on Royal Canin Labrador Junior since he was 12 weeks old and he's doing really well on it and everyone comments on how shiny his coat is.
Truly is very shiny, although I dont know if that is because she only has baby fur. Maybe I should just keep her on the same food then? Its confusing having so much choice
My Star is 3 weeks older than your girl and also on Royal Canin but she is on the Maxi Adult, I think she has been on the adult for about 4 weeks now and I can honestly say she has never been better, her insides are a lot healthier, she is a lot more settled and her coat is lovely. I personally would just go straight to the adult and skip the junior.

Hi
If she has no problems,With this food i would leave her on it. At fourteen weeks i would not be changing my puppy onto adult food.
I also feed Royal canin to my lot.
I don't feed Royal canin but would say, why on earth change if you are going well on something? You will kick yourself if it upsets her. Stay on what you have, feed puppy until at LEAST five months of age, swop to adult between 5 and 6 months of age - forget Junior, there is absolutely no need to ever use an expensive Junior food, and off you go on adult formula.
Stay with what you know and agrees with her.

If miss scrumptious is doing well then i would not change.Archie has food allergies and we have had lots of problems with his skin and tummy upsets,so i would stick with Royal Canin
I agree (although I am a major burns fan ) - why change if there isn't a problem? she is obviously doing really well on it and looks very healthy and shiney - so why change?
Harvey has been on royal canin since he was a bubby and now he is 7 months and still on royal canin. Like you I was curious on what other food was out there, and i experimented. I was kicking myself in doing that, as I upsetted his little tummy. MY BAD
After I realised Royal canin was the one, I kept him on it. He absolutly loves it. His coat is very shiny too.
People always ask me what do I feed him on, even the vets. They always comment how healthy he is and how well in proportion he is in.
Im happy with Royal Canin, he is still on the Labrador junior kibble, only because he has been sick and I wanted to give him as much nutrition as possilbe. I think one I have finished this lot, I might put him on Adult food.
