As Pud lives with me in my girly house and spends each day at my mum and dads with my 2 sisters i think he wanted to get in touch with his feminine side ...
Last summer i was in the middle of a meeting and got a phone call in work from my panicked youngest sister telling me that Pud had eaten her 'pill'. Trying to speak quietly so the rest of the meeting couldn't hear i asked her what she meant and she told me that he had sneaked into the other room and helped himself to a box of the contraceptive pill dianette that she had just picked up from the chemist. He had come prancing into the living room showing off his find - a full month's worth! When they checked at least another 2 'month's' were missing!
I called the vet and explained to the receptionist what had happened and sat waiting for a phone call back to let me know whether i would need to take him in. By this point everybody in the room knew what was going on and was eargerly awaiting the next instalment.  The vet called back and said that Pud should suffer no real ill effects other than a reduced sex drive for a few days and maybe a little bit of soreness from passing the packaging !
He must have been giving off female hormones for a good few weeks as the other dogs in the park wouldn't leave him alone - he became very 'humpable'  I've still not lived it down in work!
