Having never used a crate before Jake, I need to ask a question regarding the provision of water....

Currently, I do not put any water in the crate overnight, but should I??

Obviously for the times that Jake needs to be in there during the day I need to provide some - on the past two occasions I have left him with water in the crate whilst I have gone to work I have returned to find the water bowl tipped up and a damp puppy and vetbed Rolling Eyes Is this usual???? Does anyone have any suggestions/tips about water in the crate?????

Please help me!!!! LOL Laughing Laughing

I have tried a coop cup that hooks onto the side, but he just pulled it off - didn't know you could bolt them on Confused

I also tried a bowl in the corner... Rolling Eyes

As Bernie suggested we use a coop cup in the crate. We don't put much water in, just a little to see him through. Most pet shops sell coop cups.

I never put water in the crate. Even though I had one of those ones that bolt onto the side, I found that the pup would still play in the water and end up with soggy bedding...I think I only used it twice then gave up. Rolling Eyes

As long as the pup isn't shut in there for more than 3 hours, then I can't see why they would need it. Wink

Edited to say.... I didn't put water in overnight either. Wink

I have this problem, Rach. However, he's doing it less and less. I've seen somewhere (on LF I think) where a bowl can be fixed higher up on a kind of bolt and bracket thing - fixed on the outside obviously but only the bowl is reachable on the inside for the dog. But not able to tip it up. I would think it would be adjustable too.
Don't know if that helps. Someone else will know what I'm rambling about.

You can get a over sized water bottle for Dogs ... Its attaches on the outside of the crate so no chance of him pulling it off and they soon learn how to use it ...... Pepsi has one on her indoors and in the car one .... she loves it and it does nt drip ....

If I can find you a link I ll send in on here in a bit Rach xxxx
