Hi all,
finally I manage to introduce myself after having already subscribed to this forum 4 weeks ago. 
My name is Uwe and I am from Germany where my wife and I live close to the Dutch/Belgian border together with our two black lab bitches Banshee and April (the latter is self bred out of Banshee after Ft Ch Kelland Black Hussar).
We occasionally breed - when we find the time besides our regular jobs - and therefore I am very much interested in research on dog pedigrees - which often leads to research on british dogs 
I do hunting tests (we unfortunately don't have field trials here in Germany but instead we have other hunting tests) and occasionally working tests up to open level. And of course I am always ready to join some friends for a nice shooting in the fields in autumn together with my dogs 
Next Friday we are going on vacation to Scotland together with our dogs and it would be an absolute highlight for us if we could visit a retriever event (e.g. workingtest) up in Scotland.
So if anybody could give me a hint on any retriever event between Sun 14th and Sat 27th of July I would be very happy!!!

Hi Uwe, I seem to remember your name from before, if you`ve already subscribed under another name, if you send an email to Julie (bradleysmum) or Dave (labadmin) they are the owners of the forum and will hopefully be able to sort things out for you.
Can`t help you with the trials you`d like to see but wanted to say hi and hope someone, can help you out

thanks for your welcome message. It must be someone else I remeber you at - I just subscribed to this forum for the first time 4 weeks ago... But I am a member of some German retriever forums... Maybe we "met" there?

Hi Uwe and welcome to LF.
I lived in Germany for 3 years and remember seeing a wonderful site of pointers out for the day in the nearby fields to where I lived. I didn't manage to count them as there were so many 
Hope you manage to find something when you come over to Scotland.
