weve had peppa now nearly 2 weeks and was going great for toilet training, no mats hadnt been started at breeders so was all from scratch here.
was taking her out reg in garden and was doing really well got her night time dry and clean as well which still is.
but as weather nice and door is left open im still in out with her for reassurance, she has started to come back in house and have a accident few min after coming back in.
she just done it now lying down it was only when i saw a puddle i relised what hse had done. i generally take straight outside and stand for a few mins.
any ideas peppa is 12 weeks old little girl.

If you catch her say no and pick her up and take her out and wait then the praise and treat it used to take Max up to 5 mins to have it but they do especially if you get them moving around. They do like company at first but get better now Max likes when I am not out as I cant see what he is up to Laughing

How was she laying when she did this one? Was she sort of grovelling on her belly (ears down, tail down), perhaps about to roll over, or was she flat out asleep?

Agree with Luther, you need to catch her at it.

I took on a 5 month old which has been house-trained but was given up as it started having accidents indoors when owners had to start taking it in to work with them. There was no one keeping a close eye on her and so when she had a accident (she was stressed as she was sharing office with lots of other dominant dogs) no one told her it was wrong.

She would just wee in the house when ever she felt like it. It took a few weeks (I know that's not what you want to hear) but I got her out of it by leashing her to me so that I could catch her at it. She never wet her crate so when she couldn't be with me she was in it.

Hope this helps. At least your puppy is little so any accidents will be little, but I can assure you a 5 months old does huge puddles!

Right, well she could be Submissive Weeing, which is involuntary and basically means, "I'm only a baby, please don't hurt me".

I've had several pups who've done this when approached, especially if stood over and looked down on. I've got one now who at 6 months old, will Submissive Wee pretty much every time when she greets hubby and my boys.....she even roll over sometimes and pees all over her belly....Nice! Wink

If she is just trotting around indoors and squats, then it's quite likely the penny simply hasn't dropped yet. It does take sometimes, with some not Getting It until a good 6 months old. It's very common to have Two Steps Forward and One Back (even two back at times). until that penny does finally drop.

If she was squatting and very little was coming out, then I'd be concerned about a UTI. If she was peeing in her sleep, then I'd be worrying about her bladder position, as there is a condition which tends to make them incontinent. However, if she was "looking guilty", then chances are she was just being a Submissive Baby and the involuntary peeing is just part of that. Just whatever you do don't tell her off for it or make a fuss, as this makes Submissive Pee-ers a million times worse Wink .
