Yes I do agree with you on that point Diana , the KC are very slow to update their records, we are still waiting for an eye test that was done in early Dec to be put on one of our records , at least they are making some moves in the right direction

If you scan the eye certificate and email it to the Kennel Club they will add it to your records straight away .

I recently had experience of this asked about hip scores eyes etc all was fine we fell in love with one pup and put down a deposit unfortunately he died at 5 weeks old due to heart failure please ask wether the pups heart is normal sounding as the vet did say he had abnormal heart rhythm which if checked would have been picked up on

sorry to hear what happened - unless there was an obvious problem - i would have thought it unlikely the vet would have seen the pup at that age - how awful for all concerned.
I do drag all my pups down to the vets for weighing and a complete health-check before they leave; it is all logged on their computer - god forbid that ever happened - I would hope it would be detected during such a check.

That is so sad.
As Sue said.. Unless there was a noticeable problem I wouldn't take mine to the vets until they were seven weeks of age. It is just to test, heart, lungs and to see if they are generally fit. Some people don't take them to the vet at all.
