Hi all. Hope all are ok. Haven't been around for a while but 9 month old Bozo has been poorly the last couple of days and thought I'd run this by you all before contacting the vet unnecessarily. He seemed a little quiet yesterday morning but didn't think anything of it until I gave him his brekkie which he only ate half of and very slowly (Bozo normal clears his plate before I can count to 40). He spent the rest of the morning mooching around rather than his usual charging about like a mad dog. He then started breaking wind alot and to say he stunk the house out would be an understatement! It wreaked! By mid afternoon he started vomiting his breakfast up and once he got rid of that he vomited yellow sick. I would say he was sick about 5 or 6 times and then the diarrhea started. All through this we managed to keep him drinking quite a bit knowing this was important. I stayed up with him all night but he slept through (typical) but when I gave him his usual breakfast he just sniffed it and walk away. I cooked him up some rice which he ate about half of then he went out into the garden and passed more diarrhea which was just brown water. Since then he's slept most of the day and has continued to drink well. He now seems a little perkier and am now thinking he may be over the worst but wondering what I should offer him to eat if anything? I don't think I need to contact the vet at this time but if he deteriorates that will be my next course of action but is there anything that i've missed that I should be doing? Thanks for any thoughts.

Justina

i`d starve bozo until tomorrow Justine, then give him something bland like chicken and feed maybe 3/4 small meals rather than his 2/3, this will help his tummy recover from whatever attacked it, it may be that he ate something he shouldn`t, they can be so quick when out and about.

Hope Bozo is feeling better very soon Smile

I hope Bozo feels better soon, Bailey's had diarrhea for the last 4 days the vet told me to give him chicken and rice and to make sure he drinks plenty. I think he's on the mend now, he's still loose but not as bad. I think there may be a bug going round.

Hi Justina,

Hope Bozo is feeling better today. If the symptoms carry on, I would get him checked at the vets.

Get Bozo checked out at the vets if this doesn't resolve in 48 hrs or so, he could have a high temp or infection and may need a shot or AB's

Hope he is better soon
