I saw Carpenny Scenario at Blackpool recently, and really liked him. I thought he looked like he was very correct and, although not flashy, he is really typey. That must have been a really good litter Penny had as there have been a few out in the ring.

He got a first that day and his brother got third in the same class if I remember right.

Hi Thistle,

Brilliant - thanks for that! I hope they do get him tested as he is what I am looking for. I work my dogs on a basic level and want a good 'type' but not overdone or too heavy. He would complement my bitch perfectly. I have seen him in the flesh and he looks better than in pictures. It sounds silly but some dogs look great in pictures and when you see them in the flesh you go "Oh no - don't like that".

Hi Sue,

That's one of the reasons I chose him on my shortlist for his excellent health scores. So many good dogs to look at before September. I go to sleep at night lately and all I see are black Labrador dogs in the show stand!! Confused

I bet next week all you will see in your sleep (if you can get any Wink ) will be tiny Lab puppies! Good luck for the impending event! Just a tip - just when you think you have got enough towels - get a load more, you can never have enough! Wink

Thanks Very Happy I have all my 'towels' (and everything else) for the occasion in hiding well out of reach Laughing now Solo can reach my work surfaces - nothing is safe - and as for Clover - today she decided to do an impression of an overgrown Andrex pup with my kitchen roll Twisted Evil Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes - think someone ought to make a 'real' Andrex pup advert Laughing Laughing

But would we have them any other way Laughing Laughing certainly never a dull moment Wink

Good luck with your search Very Happy

I have mated Cassie, who is 3, twice now, with a stud dog who is
10 and she hasn't got pregnant with either mating.

Stud dog owner did say that perhaps his age had something to
do with it, but then again he has sired a few puppies in the past.

So I'm not sure.
