Hi Everyone,
I thought i'd share with you all something that made me laugh this afternoon!
Just recently i've noticed Brad's been getting really excited when i have been shopping and arrive back with all the shopping bags. (Hubby tells me it's because i always bring something back for him- ok so he's a little spoilt on the toy front!)
Brad normally inspects the shopping carrier bags and has a good old sniff - today, i pulled up in the car and left the car door open with the shopping on the front passenger seat, opened the door to the motorhome where i was i was greated by a HUGE grinning Bradley with a waggly tail, who then ran straight past me, into the car, onto the passenger seat and stuck his head in the shopping bags!!!
Was so funny to see him do this, i thought kids were bad, i remember being excited when we were kids and mum had been shopping, well Brad is exactly the same!
Anyone else have a 'mum's been shopping' excitable lab?
They never fail to make you smile do they.
Julie
P.S Since we've got back from our travels, we have been house hunting, we have now seen a lovely house and might be putting an offer in very soon! It's not in Cornwall as planned - but near my lovely sister (Family more important than the sea!) so i'll keep you posted. It will then be time to introduce our cats, Chloe & Lotte to their new big brother! It's going to be an interesting time!
LOL Julie, CJ is just the same, he`s fed BARF so its especially exciting when I come back from the butchers
Good luck with the house, unfortunately my cats live upstairs away from CJ and CIndy, she got ansty with them when he came, think he`d be ok, Fudge the youngest kitty is`nt scared of him , he faces off with his back up, hackles raised from neck to bottom and a tail like a bottle brush
It's like Christmas for Scooby when I get back from shopping!
Last week I let him out when I got back and his head was straight in the boot sniffing the bags (and his large bag of Autarky)
He then follows me into the house with every bag load and sniffs it coming out of the bag into the fridge/freezer/cupboard. It is his excuse to stick his head inside the fridge!! It always reminds me of that advert where the dog takes the turkey out of the fridge.
maxs favorite best friend at the mo is the tesco delivery man
as soon as the van pulls up he starts going bonkers bouncing all over the place. its a good job the guy has a lab of his own and doesnt mind getting mugged while max investigates every bag
when richey was small my mum was just bringing the last bag of shopping through the house when the phone rang, naturally she put the bags down and answered the call in the hall, about 10 minutes into the conversation she heard a puppy barking, wondering what was wrong she went back into the living room to find richey awake from his nap and in the play bow position infront of this huge grapefruit which hes evidently rolled out of the bag and sunk his puppy sharp teeth into under the impression it was a ball, of course it just spat grapefruit juice at him, a bit of a shock i think!
Anna
lol.
Its actually one of my cats who does this over the dog.
The dog gets excited over shopping, however not the food, he likes to run away with the plastic bags instead
But one of my younger cats loves sniffing in all the bags and having a good old nosey.
We also have 2 kittens at 8 weeks and after the shopping is put away they love to sleep in the shopping bags together. its so sweet
Bailey is the same although again it is the plastic bags he's after
The one thing he does do though................if i bring the washing basket down to take the washing out he goes nuts
He's taken to playing with me whenever i try and put the washing on the line.............i don't know why as i'm ignoring him he paws at my feet and runs away, paws at my feet and runs away clearly trying to get me to play chase, drops his ball and sits waiting for me to throw it (doesn't let go of it normally) quite strange really
He only has to see the basket and he runs around like a mad man tail going like there's no tomorrow and whines as he can't control his excitment ....i'm going to try and catch him doing this on camera
Herhey has to inspect every single bag before you can unpack it, if you dare to unpack a bag he hasnt got around to he give you a filthy look as if to say hey I havent finished yet....
Makes me laugh cos he wont even let you in the front door he has to inspect them before they get into the kitchen lMAO
Good luck with the house hunting I remember that its a stressful time but Brad will calm you down when it all gets hectic...
Lucy loves shopping bags (usually something for her in it!) last week got back from shopping and all the bags were on the floor with her doing the usual checks and the phone rang.........
When I got back she had sniffed out the still hot rotisserie chicken. Hadn't eaten it (thank God) but was licking it all over
Strangely enough, no-one fancied it after that, I wonder why??????
