Not an affix I am familiar with - someone on the forums has a lab bred down from their lines

http://www.labradorforums.co.uk/ftopicp-412648.html

There are a couple of their dogs on the hip score DB going back to the late 1990's

Sorry, I've got nothing in my database. Just the two that Sue mentioned in the KC hip database, and they are Bramble Berry and Willow Wispa.

Sorry, John

Thank you all for checking, It was my grandmothers affix, and i think it still belongs to her. I might try and take it over from her, I didn't realise that she used to breed labradors as well!

Romtree Bramble Berry was born 26/10/96 and was by Chicnoir Chocolater Cadet out of Brynseion Gigi

Romtree Willow Wispa was born 22/8/97 and was by Lasgarn Lentini out of Chicnoir Wild Willow

Unfortunately I have nothing on any of these dogs

Regards, John

My understanding is that if it is dormant, they don't allow anyone else to use it (is that correct John?)

She can 'reinstigate' the name and then do a transfer to you if it is not still active - good luck Very Happy

I think as long as a person is still paying maintenance on an affix they can add another name on as a partner. But if they have let it slip I believe there is a time limit to reactivate. She, or you on her behalf, will need to ring the KC to find out the full details.

Regards, John

I don't think it can be taken over by anyone else though without the original holders permission?

I know when I was allocated my original affix - it seemed it had already been used in a different breed - I believe now dormant, but it was still withdrawn from me Sad

No, I'm sure it cant Sue.

The KC do allow a few naughty ones to slip by though Sue. Joan Chester-Perks old Labrador and Flatcoat affix was Tonggreen, but the KC accepted an application from someone else in Flatcoats for Tongreen! Poor Joan was furious!
