Ive been to the vet again today, we needed to get some worming tablets and some frontline, and Ive been a bit worried about Truly's eyes, they seem quite gunky when she has woken up in the morning, and at some angles I look at her, they look all red and dangly. The vet said they were fine though Confused

Ive been trying to get a pic to post but couldnt get one. But we went to upnor for a lil stroll and a sit down watching the boats and other dogs and I got one as she was eating some seaweed. Do you think there is something wrong that the vet isnt noticing? What should I do?

Thankyou for looking though! Thats what it is like, I suppose the eyes arent red or anything, and the 'gunk' is only white, just like 'sleep' in the corners, but the lower lid bit looks too loose if that makes sense, and It wasnt like that before. Maybe it is just some strange growing thing, she is deffinatly growing Laughing

Charlie's were the same as a pup and I asked the vet. He said he would 'grow into' his eyes lol. He more or less has done although he's still very good at giving me his 'sad labbie look' if he wants something.

I'm sure JohnW will see this and be more helpful than me

ok looking at the picture do you mean the lower lids??

if so rosze who is 2yrs has days were her lower lids seem to droop and you can see the redness i have never thought much of it as it doesnt bother her and to be honest if she has a tierd day thats when i tend to notice it more so not sure if thats anything to do with the droopy lids..

hers are droopy for say 1-2 days then there back to normal

as for the gunk in the mornings are you sure its not just sleep?? or are they still gunking up during the day aswell??

again all my dogs at times have sleep in there eyes first thing which if they havent wiped it away i will...

Yeah the lower lids.

Maybe it is just a tired thing, because sometimes I cant seem to see it, and others it is really noticeable.

The gunk is just in the morning, never in the day, although they get glassy looking when she is tired. Then she gets a wrinkly nose and when I see the wrinkly nose I know devil dog is coming lolol Laughing

She doesnt tend to clean the sleep away so I usually do it with some cotton wool.

Brooke's eyes go like that when she is tired, I am sure they will improve as she grows. I had the vet look at them, and she said they are fine.

They do like to worry us don't they Confused I hope John sees this post and puts all our minds at rest Wink
