and set up a rescue centre ????

I would love to, it's always been a childhood dream.

I just need to win the Lottery Rolling Eyes

Would you set up a rescue center if you had the chance or would you be a major supporter of an established centre, if so how would you choose????

Just interested Very Happy

I'm not sure if I could cope with all of the heartache of running a rescue centre. Sad I would LOVE to, but honestly not sure if I could cope. But would definately support loads of doggie rescue centres.

I think I would be a major supporter and perhaps do some voluntary work for them too.... I don't think I could run my own.

I def want to involved with one, but not sure if I could cope with the heartache of running one myself. I think Many Tears would be right up there on my list to help.

A BIG FAT YES!!!!

It has always been my dream to run a rescue centre, but you need so much money behind you and expect none back in return.

Nope, can't think of anything worse - got too much heartache in my life without taking on more!! Would and do glady support financially but that's my limit I'm afraid.

...and have to say, sadly rescue has more politics involved in it than the Labour Party ;-( It starts certainly in a straightforward 'I want to help dogs in need' but sadly becomes enbroiled in politics and dificult situations these days with our society turning more into a 'sue you if it all doesn't turn out perfectly' culture.

I'd give heffing great amounts to some rescues (some put my teeth on edge) but couldn't bear to run one - its worse than being on breed club committees for power struggles and red tape.... working in breed rescue.

As much as I would support certain rescue centres (dogs and horses mostly) I could never run one. I could not cope with the heartache, the politics or the organisation (those that know me, know exactly how disorganised I am Wink ). So no, I wouldn't run a rescue centre but I would support financially and volunteer my time. Wink
