Your house deeds do tell you where your boundries are and also the dimentions etc
These can also be obtained from the land registry office (online too) give them a call and they will tell you what you own and who has the rights of payment etc

Little Tinker worrying Mum like that. Yes, it's a horrible feeling isn't it?

Some workmen once left my side gate open and Reeve was missing for about an hour. I was like a raving lunatic at the said workman. I was half sobbing and half loon Poor man Embarassed

thanks everyone, i have mentioned your advice to my OH so he is going to find out about the deeds,in the mean time ive managed to semi persuade him that fighting over a piece of ground really isnt worth the stress or worth putting skyes safety at risk and that we really should just do it the way they want and ignore them.
I really think they are just an old couple with not much to do so are trying to cause problems, so if we just smile sweetly and ignore the miserable sods they may just get the picture! lol
