Does your labby have a night time ritual?
Sadie does.... goes something like this..
Come in from the last walk of the evening, go into kitchen, once we put our hand down to lift up her bed, she runs off upstairs.... sits waiting by the drawers as her 2 biccies for supper are there... tell her to get into her bed, give her her 2 biccies, she then gets up, goes for a drink, comes back to her bed, paws her bed and goes round and round in circles till she gets comfy, mum gets up for a pee , Sadie gets out her bed, mum gets back into bed, Sadie goes to bed
Every night is the same! Its sooo funny and just darn cute!!
Jansen knows when its bed time as I get out some bedtime biscuits, i dont even need to tell him to go to bed he cant get there quick enough
I put his biccies on the window sill next to his bed and he sits looking at them whilst i feed the cat, once he is laying down he has the biccies, then its lights out
If I dont do this before 10 he puts himself to bed, then when I go in he wags his tail as he still gets a biscuit.
He loves his bed and normally has his blankets arranged so he has a little pillow he also sleeps with his favourite toy.
George always gets into his bed when i tell him he then waits for me to go upstairs gives it 10-15 minutes then creeps up and gets on the bottom of mine! He will go back downstairs if i tell him but, well, you know..... It will be interesting to see what he does after Alfie joins us tomorrow he might stay downstairs with him as Alfie will be in the crate.
Rosie and Bosun go outside for a final wee. Rosie goes straight away but Bosun has to do a few laps of the garden, working up a bit of a head of steam, before he can go. Rosie, eager to please, knows what I'm waiting for and will often do two or three more wees while this is going on!
Back inside, both go to their beddies and lie down and have a biscuit and a kiss before I go upstairs.
They love the routine and so do I, glad I'm not the only one who gives bedtime biccies!
Rolo also has bedtime biccies.He wakes up when he heres windows on the comp shut down goes for last wee after going round the garden few times before he can actually relieve himself,then puts himself to bed and waits for his biscuit.On a morning hubby goes down about 5.30 he gets a handful of cornflakes before taking his daddys place in bed.

Ruby does this in the morning as we get up at about 7 I work for a few hours then take her out at abotu 9am - when I close my computer down she starts getting giddy and knows its walkies time hehe
They are funny arent they!! Happy takes herself off to her crate at 10pm or before!! I still take her out for last wee's when we go to bed (not long after her i must add!) but sometimes have to drag her out!! I then go in to kitchen for nightime biscuit and she follows me all over the place.... much to her dads dismay once she knows i have that biccy, she wont even go and say goodnight to him... she then hops into her crate and its sleepytime!!! Heaven forbid if you try and wake her earlier than 7.30, she really doesnt like getting up in the morning!!.... she's so like me in many ways!!!
My two are so different ..............Baxter takes himself to bed after we've had night walk(won't settle until he's had that!) then he's out for the count Even Maggie barking doesn't shift him Maggie on the other hand will be where ever i am and won't go to bed until i do. Once i'm in bed, she does this every night....... gets up to come say goodnight cuddle and kiss i say night night bedtime and off she goes How cute is that????
