A gorgeous choccy boy.
And he directed his owner straight into Mark & Spencers food hall
T'was so funny, I was behind them, he stopped on the first step and she said "Oh dear, where are we?" and I said "You're at the entrance to M&S Food Hall, the bus station is to your left" and she said "Oh no darling, this isn't where we'r going today, let's move on".... hehehe so funny, cheeky lab wanted some yummy marks & sparks breakfast LOL
Made me smile.
It always makes me laugh that some people think that Guide Dogss are like robots..IE the owner tells them where to go and the dog takes them there. Nothing could be further from the truth. The handler has to know where he/she is going and the dog just takes directions, helping them avoid obstacles and indicating doors, kerbs, etc along the way. However the dog still has a brain and they can take things into their own paws occasionally..and we all know what Labs are like when it comes to food, don't we...
How funny, bless him! I remember reading a book a few years ago called 'Emma and I' about a woman and her choccie lab Guide Dog, it was amazing what Emma could do, she would find her owner new routes to work if there were roadworks and all sorts, absolutely incredible! XX

When I was at school Emma and her owner, Sheila Hocken, used to visit us and tell us about Guide Dogs. We collected all the silver paper in Nottinghamshire to raise funds for one.
I think that's where my fascination started...
She's written a few books, lovely to read they are.
