Dear All,
As some of you are aware, I volunteer my time for the Labrador Welfare Charity covering from North Nottinghamshire to the North East.
On the Saturday 30th June we are holding a ‘Fun Day’ for all the family, especially the dog! I would like to extend this invitation to you all. The event will take place at Rainbow Hill Kennels between Sheffield and Barnsley (approximately 10 minutes from J36 of the M1)
The main event of the day will be a ‘Fun Dog Show’ – the categories are as follows:
- Best Sausage catcher
- Most handsome dog
- Prettiest bitch
- Waggiest tail
- Junior Handler
- Best trick
- Judges favorite
- Prettiest eyes
- Best of six (dog + human)
- Best veteran dog or bitch
(Dog show starts at 1.30pm and will cost 50p per dog per category)
There will be something for all the family, from bouncy castle to face painting and various stalls that include:
- dog toys
- 2nd hand stall
- home made cakes (mmmm)
- home made dog biscuits
- hand made gemstone jewelry
- hand made cards
- refreshments
- ice cream
- plant stalls
There will also be a photographer who will have a stall of his own. The perfect opportunity to have your doggie portrait taken.
On show there will be details of the dogs that we currently have in the kennels and you’ll be able to speak to one of the volunteers should you be interested in rehoming.
As well as raising funds and awareness of the Labrador welfare we have also invited along other dog related charities which include Personal Assistant Dogs, Support Dogs and also the Retired Greyhound rescue.
