wave Hi any of you out there any experience with spiritual healing?

I am not religious at all and knew nothing about this at all but I am not closed minded to these kinds of things.

Ruby just had a spiritual healing session for her 'whomping toe' and it was fab.

Has anyone ever done this with their woofs? or any other pet or person?

I've had reiki done on myself once and it was quite a nice experience, I felt really woosy afterwards and I could totally feel the heat from the lady's hands as she moved around my body..
I like to believe things like that work...
Never had it done on Sadie, but wouldnt say no if the opportunity arose!
How did Ruby feel afterwards??? x

I worked in a Hospice for many years Vicky and we had Spiritual Healers ...I learnt so much from them and to this day am in awe of the peace and healing that they gave Smile

That's wonderful!!!
I have had healing but I wouldn't call it spiritual exactly but more alternative. I was offered surgery to correct a hip problem but the surgery could have made it worse. I wasn't prepared to take that chance with two boys to look after. I was already miserable enough not being able to walk far.
I turned to kineisiology (sp?) aka muscle testing and it was gone! I mean literally gone. Maggie did include some Reiki too which I believe helped too. I now walk everywhere (I don't drive), I dig on my allotments and just keep up with my boys. So, Yes I have! Very Happy
What kind of healing was it and do you see a difference in Ruby?

He also did a bit on me so I would know what it feels like and you feel really disorientated

Ruby loved it though and by her reaction there is definitely something in it - dogs cant fake it can they

ummmm he just stroked her all over then he said - its her front left leg isnt it (I hadnt told him before) then he just laid on the floor with her (aww) and put his hands all along her leg - we were there about 40 mins.

Its difficult to see a difference as she wasnt limping before hand but we are going back next week to see if he can tell a difference.

I would recommend it and am definitely going to take her back Razz after all what is there to lose eh?

Also Rubys reaction told me that there was something in it - she was panting like she was in a little discomfort, like she did after she was spayed not enough that she moved away but definitely reacted more than if someone was just putting their hands on her Razz

I'll be honest Vicky, things like that freak me out a bit ...

I don't want to believe in them, but as Mands said, I had reiki once, and kept wanting to giggle, but when I finally relaxed, there was definately SOMETHING happening, I could feel the heat and almost as if I had magnets under my skin and she was moving a strong magnet around above my back, pulling things around, if that makes any sense?!!

I think maybe the ability to relax and focus may just set up a better environment for our bodies to heal themselves, although how that would work with dogs heaven knows!!

Daniels sister had reki over the telephone when she was abroad as she got a massive insect bite on her leg, which got badly infected & very very swollen, it really worked for her.

hope it helps rubes toe... Very Happy

Awww I'm really glad Ruby loved it.

I've had Reiki healing done on me and my horse and was so impressed I went on to get my Reiki One and Two certificates.

I rarely use it for people but tend to use it for animals (I always feel I have a greater connection to animals anyway). I'm sure when Tara was so very ill a couple of years back, it really helped heal her devastated leg. Even the vets could not make out how she healed and so quickly too (they had written her off after the first two ops) and needless to say she loved the Reiki treatments and soaked it up like a sponge.

I've seen Reiki done on arthritic and really lame horses too (which is how I first heard about Reiki) and as you say "animals can't lie"....It really does help. Wink

I hope the Spiritual healing really helps Rubys "whomping" toes too. Very Happy
