Well I won't be quite as gracious in retiring as Kayc and as people clearly still won't let it go .........
This is my right to reply that with ' titles ' I was not afforded. It is not to start it of again, that's the very last thing I want, I don't care if it's locked...fiecely don't want any follow on threads but would still like it read.
Now, if I want, I am ' just ' a member, who can enjoy the same rights of freedom of speech and ' debate ' as you. So there will be no swearing or personally named attacks.
Many times posters have said to me they would defend my right to voicing my opinion to the death. So, defend away, ( this should be interesting ) here is my swansong you forced on me.
Firstly, a sincere thank you Julie for your very kind and, I know, genuine words.....I appreciate this has been a shock to you too. Also to thank those genuine comments on our ' obituary ' . It was heartwarming to know we have helped some / made a difference and that's been appreciated. And for those ( you know who you are ) who posted because you needed to be seen to have done so....we would rather you had not twisted the knife one final time.
For those that say the forum has changed, yes you are right, but nothing to do with us. We were the same as we have always been. The difference ? Where we ( members and staff ) were an equal happy family community working together, it's dynamics changed by an insatiable lust by disrespectful people who felt they were above everyone and everything. This forced staff to have to execute their roles.....and opps......that wasn't liked was it...all of a sudden we were...elitist's....kangaroo court ....etc etc how few understood the concept of a Moderator or commitee member.
With a membership of over 8000 someone has to take the helm and ultimatly the backlash from 7950 indians that want to be chiefs. There are only two chiefs, Julie and Dave but in their absence you have all run amok and now believe it's the norm.
For those that said it was a shame we felt we had to go.....we didn't ' go ' , we were in one way or another forced out by a cleverly constructed behind the scenes lynch mob. Sounds dramatic? paranoid? Nah...because it is still going on today, this very minute to others. Isn't it ladies?
For those who hope all will be calm after our departure is an insult. Implying we were the cause of building / recent upset. Great offence taken.
For the record book I wonder how many of you realised the ' recent events ' were on full public display, on the web.......so much so that 739 were on line during that day. Clearly better viewing than BB or the sport. Do you really think you helped LF? Or was your lust so great you didn't care ? What ever your personal motives you surely have damaged the forum.
The GT......we are devasted we have had to pull out BUT, we are human beings with scruples and principles and now both feel we can not stand shoulder to shoulder with false smiles knowing they have stabbed us in the back during the last 6 months we have been working to make a great day for them. They maybe 2 faced. We are not and have our self respect. We apologise to Julie unreservedly in the first instance and the membership. Julie we really are so sorry......hope you understand
We would however like to thank those that were helping us and the fantastic support from some members. The amazing offer from figitsmum and sheppylady for a total event sponsorship. Linzi for all your hard work. etc etc We wish you well.
Ok...moving on....Lostlabs.....
Despite us never resigning from LL......3p and I have discussed this at length. And upon hearing our 8 week old pup is now home having been stolen and sold on in a pub late at night by a thief, the origins of which we are not at liberty to report, we have agreed that it's not ' our labs ' fault that humans should affect their chances of life and being reunited.
We are passionate about LL, it's been our very life and soul and we will not walk away from it because some individuals have made life very unpleasnt for us here. Maybe with all that energy they could of popped over and done the walk instead. So...
To those that ask if we will still come on LF and update...the answer is No. Been there, did that and look where that got us ! You want to know/ care enough if your labs are in danger.....you know where we are www.lostlabs.com ...see you there, maybe, maybe not.
Nor will we bring emergency sightings to you....not taking anything away from few wonderful members who moved hell and water to help us search...These people genuinely wanting to help if they can or wanting to get updated info will do so whatever anyway..and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If people can't be bothered to come and look then their dogs safety is on their shoulders. No more bringing the mountain to Mohammad.
Our ' Lostlab week ' recieved so many complaints from a few. Yes, complaints that lostlab week was ruling the forum and stopping the ' fun ' of day to day posts. Funny how it's often the same old names eh? Yet again, innocent labradors at risk, but by whom now? How ironic
I won't be removing what we considered helpful threads on LF. I will be leaving them in the vain hope they are seen for what they are and that they may help protect labs, now and in the future.
I won't apologise on how this may read, do you expect me to care? Maybe you might feel my / our fury and upset. I am equally sure some will be falling over themselves to complain to Julie and Dave or publically voice their 'views.....no change there then eh? But you all scream for the right to freedom of speech...what's good for the goose........If you feel grieved and want to take this further I can be emailed or PM'd. I will not be discussing it on an open forum again. It's done. If you choose to continue carrying it on thats down to you it will be a one way convo.. I have said my piece and it's over. Well from my prospective anyway.

Finally...for those that wish us a peaceful life now......thanks but no thanks.....clearly don't know me at all. I will not be at the noose end of any lynch mob nor will I stand by and watch others go the same way. All worked to hard for too long for what the site was...to see it slip into this......

PS.....I have a tent and camping equpment for sale if anyone's interested. Only used once. Dried out and won't be needed again.
Having been on and off the forum for the last few months, I will never know the full extent as to what has gone on here but I hope you have found the closure you need through that post.
Wishing you, your girls and Frank of course all the very best for the future and I'm so pleased to hear that you will continue to do the excellent work you do with Lost Labs as I knew in my heart you would.
OMG, I really don't know what has gone on here but I can't imagine what an earth has gone on. Rhoni has always been nothing but great here on LF. What on earth is the problem???
