Awww, what a little cutie Jack is! So glad to hear he's a doggie lover too, I find it amazing the way dogs know to be gentle with little ones. My month-old nephew was in his car seat on the table in my kitchen recently, and Brady jumped up, feet on the table and removed his sock soooo gently - he is a lab with a sock fetish

She also liked to pull the coals off my fake electric fire in the living room (never turned on, just for show) and smear them all over the floor (and her own face, and in her mouth of course). Fortunately the floor in that house was wooden, so I could wash it off. I dread to think what I would have done if it had been carpet.
Another pet activity of hers was to sit twanging the doorstops (those ones that are a spring screwed into a skirting board to stop the door going back and denting the wall). That made her sound a bit like Zebedee from the Magic Roundabout.
lol - Brady also LOVES doing both of these things! Thankfully it's pebbles in our fire and not coal, but exasparating all the same!
I was on the phone to my friend this week, who has a two month old baby boy - half way through our conversation I had to drop the phone and run, as I could see out the window that Brady had managed to get into the shed and pulled out a packet of powdered plant food. She was laughing when I came back, reckons I will be well prepared for any children I might have with all the troubleshooting I have to do with Brady!
I just put a new thread in the Off Topics. Many of us could probably rabbit on for a while about the antics of our babies, toddlers (and labs of course).
pmsl @ your comments about the testing of the toy, Helen hehe...Sorry too long a commute for me too - especially with a baby, stroppy daughter and teenage dog!! could you just imagine the fun on that four-hour journey??
Lol Rona - I read your thread and thought that Brady was your son!! hehe...only realised at the end that he was your lovely lab - shows how alike our little "angels" are doesn't it?? hehe...

lol absolutely Michelle! No, I haven't got any kids of my own yet, but my 13-year old stepson lives with us, thankfully he's past that kind of mischief (just the other type of mischief to look forward to with him now )
Well, I should think we could meet up sometime, Nicola. That would be nice. Have I met you? Did you go to any of the Essex GTs?
Are you actually in Cambridge? I have a sketchy knowledge of it, but not 100%. At best I know the routes around Addenbrookes Hospital, as I have had to make reasonably regular visits there one way or another. I have explored the shops in the shopping area occasionally, and can certainly make my way around.
I haven't been to any of the GT's apart from the main Lab Forums one in 2005 but will have to get myself organised in the future! Would be lovely to meet you at some point.
We live about 6 miles outside Cambridge but I do know Addenbrookes very well - Jack was born there last year!
