Bournville was fast asleep on the lounge floor after his walk & I went upstairs to sort something out & there was a massive flash of lightening & the loudest crack of thunder. I heard scrabble scrabble woof woof as Bournville ran to find me! All the hairs on his back were stood on end & the poor thing had even poo'd himself a bit. He wouldn't leave my side for ages & it took lots of cuddles to calm him down.
The last storm we had here Corbie didn't bother with it.
Yesterday afternoon there was a big rumble, he was asleep on his back and he shot up, looked around, ran to back door to see if there was someone out there making a noise and then came back in and settled
We had a storm last night and Brodie the daft dog thought it was fab to sit and watch, none of them seemed bothered about it except my springer who hates loud noises, she runs and hides as soon as the hoover comes out as well
I have always taken my pups & dogs when I first bring them home into the garden during thunder and also during fireworks as often as possible and play with them so that they get used to it, all three of mine totally ignore it all now.
I think this was the best way for them to get used to it and see there is nothing to be scared off.
