Orson's first walk

Today was Orson's first taste of the big wide world.

I think he enjoyed himself. In the space of only 15 minutes he met a Yorkshire Terrier, another Terrier type dog and a Pyrenean Mountain dog. The PM dog Buster is only a pup himself [8 months] but is already massive.

Orson was submissive in his approach to Buster, which I was pleased about because Zac was always straight in there without thinking.

Orson came running back to me and the security of my legs. I didn't cuddle him though just said "good boy" for him having come back. Was I right in not fussing him? I didn't want him to think he had anything to worry about regarding Buster. He is a dog Orson will see often as he and Zac are friends.

Yes, you were right in not making a fuss of Orson when he retreated from the PM pup, he`ll learn as he gets bigger that not all big dogs are scary Very Happy

, but in the meantime him being on the wary side isn`t a bad thing at all Smile
