Admin Note:
this thread is to allow members to post the locations of known travellers camps, whether they be permanent or temporary
If possible could you note whether it's a fixed or mobile site. We have contacts in all areas via liaison officers, so your info is invaluable.
We appreciate some members may prefer to contact us privately, and we assure your anonymity. You can contact either 3p or Rhoni, or the LF Mods.
A list of all sites will subsequently be available for members to refer to
The previous thread has been removed from LF and this thread has been "sanitized" this is because our hand has been forced by one of the LF members who has been talking to organisations who represent minorities and her contact with us has undertones of legal action against LF.
This list WILL remain though as I am sure there is nothing illegal about displaying a simple list showing locations of people.
There is a small and recently developed unofficial traveller site in East Worthing, West Sussex. This is behind the back of the Lyons Farm retail park (Sainsburys, Argos, Boots etc) opposite the entrance to Worthing Town Football Club. It is positioned at the start of a network of footpaths onto the downs but they couldn't get any further onto the downs because of fences put there last year.
Beware also that although no signs yet because of better defenses, but huge unofficial sites at Braypool, just outside Brighton on the A23 and by Asda in Hollingbury, brighton will soon get travellers again as they regroup there in June time for the summer each and every year.

The boys!
Read: Wylanbriar Dog Blog on the website: Updated! 1st February 12´!
1. Sandy Lane, Aldenham, Watford, Herts, (plus there also seems to be an unofficial site on the A41 (Tylers Way), south bound, near the junction for Sandy Lane).
2. Watling Street, Park Street, St Albans, Herts (Park Street is the name of the village, not a road!!)
The site near me is a huge illegal but permanent site with around 50 families living there. It is called Dale Farm and it is in Crays Hill, Basildon, Essex.
Thanks Jules
Two near us recently.
The village green in Gragrave North Yorkshire, monitored by the Parish Council apparantley and the other on the A65 towards Kirby Lonsdale, don't know much about the latter.
