I didn't realise that you were allowed to take food in with you to the 'showing' ring, I know we can't in obedience, so assumed it was the same. Shocked

I use Tesco's ready cooked cocktail sausages - quick and easy just stick a few boxes in the freezer and take them out the night before a show!

I follow this receipe, but put 2 tins of tuna in instead. It does make alot, so freeze it. All the dogs as training come over to me when I have it. Laughing Laughing

1lb of liver (Chicken Liver as this is easier to Liquidise)
1lb Self Raising Flour
2 Eggs
1 Glove of Garlic

Instructions

Liquidise the Liver, Garlic and Eggs together
Mix in the flour
Pour the mixture into a shallow baking tray and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.

Information

The Liver Cake does not have a long shelf-life, so it is recommended that you cut some of the cake into small pieces and freeze for storage. You can then use them for future reference, making sure that they have thoroughly defrosted first!

Dear me - that sullen old trout came second Laughing Laughing - and a GOOD second at that, to a boy that I have not seen come lower than 1st in Graduate at every show I've been to when he is there Laughing and there was some very good competition in that class Wink

Bait wise - have tried everything - if Clover wants to act like a sullen old trout (I love that analogy Laughing Laughing ) then she will irrespective of what bait I use

We used to use cocktail sausages - but Clover makes such a big show of munching anything you give her, we have started cooking skinless sausages - very subtle and tbey go down a treat Laughing
