Hi Sarah,

What a horrible experience for you, Charlie & Izzie to have to go through, i'm relieved to hear you & Charlie are feeling better this morning. Brave Izzie bless her - give Charlie & Izzie a huge hug from me.

Julie

Just read your post and have to say how sorry I am for you and Charlie, but pleased he seems to have got over the experience. Its a horrible thing to have to witness. What a lucky chap to have a best friend as brave and feisty as little Izzie. Ignorant git is all I can say about the owner! Hope the dog warden pounces on him hard soon.

Dan was attacked a couple of weeks ago - not half as badly as poor Charlie - by a choccy lab funnily enough! He was just pootling about in the car park of the woods while I fannied around getting my boots on, etc and this bloke did say would it be OK if he let his two out of the car - a choccy and a yellow - said they were very friendly! They leapt out of the car straight on to poor little Dan who was sniffing around and the choccy really went for him and had him by the throat on his back! He started yelping and I felt so sick. Fortunately this chap was not like the ignorant ass you had to encounter and he dealt with it quickly and all was well and he was very apologetic.

I felt awful enough about that so can only imagine how you must have felt.
Dan sends hugs to Charlie and Izzie!

Sarah
How awful for you - it is my worst fear, a dog fight. Ever since I took my neighbours dog for a walk when I was about 13 years old and it was attacked and very badly bitten I've been paranoid about it and it's probably not helped my two either. Good on you and the folk at Scallywags for giving you good advice when it comes to dog socialisation. I'm so glad they both came out unscathed, physically anyway.
I'm afraid I would not have been so calm and would probably have punched the owners lights out and ending up with me being arrested!
Give them both big hugs and licks from us. Very Happy
