And why is he whinging?
He wants a poop.

Yes!
But.... the grass in the back garden is too long for Sir Corbie Pup to walk on and do one!   It's not that long, say 3 inches but it gets to a certain height and that's it, he lifts his paws up as if to say 'ewww, I'm not walking on that!'
I tried to put him on it, but he legged it off again! Told him I will be cutting it once it's dried up.
Fussy thing - so I'd better go walk the pup before he explodes

He woke me howling in the night, night before last... he wanted a poo then too! Wouldn't do it before bed because....
... it had been raining - and grass was too long.
(although that didn't seem to matter at 1.30am when he went on the grass then, and it was pouring with rain !)
I forget about all these little things he does over winter when the grass stays short
