Grr!!

Its taken a while to sort out Hollys tummy troubles. We'd just begun to gradually reintroduce her food along with the chicken and rice and some yoghurt we had been giving her to nsort her out. All was going well and well...um..firm Wink

Then one too many sad puppy looks at the weekend and yesterday those we were staying with decide to treat Holly to a Supachew - without telling me first!

RESULT?? 4a.m. wake up call...very bad runs again and one dog now very sorry for herself and quiet!!

Trouble is dont know for sure if it was Supa Chew or going back to food!!! So here we go again!

GRR!!! Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes

Hi Shelley sorry to hear bout poor Holly, i know this is labs but i have a rescue German shepherd and have terrible trouble with her tummy....literally....she has a protein allergy and has a very bad habit of eating cat poo i find that i have to starve her for at least 24 hours then give her plain boiled rice for a day then scrambled eggs with the rice for the next few days...i keep away from all the chews now as you dont know what is in them or even if she maybe has an intollerance to anytype of ingredients it can be very distressing for the dog as well as the own having tummy problems hopefully you can get her back on track soon

I gave Corbie a big chew (not sure of the name off the top of my head) when he was about 5 months old. He was up that night with diarrhea. I then re-read the packet and the very, very, small, you can hardly see it print said not to be given to dogs under 9 months old or under a certain weight! grrr.

It may have been the chew. I've still got another of the ones that upset Corbie in the cupboard ready for when he's old enough Laughing

Hope Holly gets better soon.

Thats the really irritating thing - we were reintroducing the food slowly to look for signs if it was that causing the problem. As you say now we will have to start again.

If id have known she was getting it id have said No thanks . As it was it was half eaten already, and when i mentioned dodgy tummies they laughed at me...apparently i worry too much!! Shocked

Hi Shelley

So feed your dog without permission then laugh at you,bet you won't be going there again in a hurry.

Just hope Holly's ok and as for worrying to much, nothing wrong in that at least you are a responsible owner!
