Does anyone else have a lab that is too lazy to get off the sofa?
What I mean is - every time Brady falls asleep on the sofa, he just can't seem to be bothered to climb down in the conventional way. He'll put his front legs on the ground, then quite often just stay like that (half on/half off the sofa) for a minute, just surveying the situation around him. Then when it's time to come down he just kind of "slides" or "flops" onto the rug!!
Now, I've never seen a dog do this before, is it quite normal or have I got a really lazy labbie?
Here he is demonstrating a "semi-slide" off the beanbag - but his favourite hobby is doing it off the sofa
Is this an individual quirky habit - or one of those typical Labbie comedy acts??
LOL rosze and brandy are the same they hang there head off first then slowly slide down till there front paws reach the floor stay like that for a minute then slowly off comes the back end..lol..
He starts of slowly..........then the front paws touch the floor.....he continues to lay there clearly trying to decided whether he really can be bothered to get up .....and then he's the same as Buster........he's back end crashes to floor with a thud!!!
He then stays there on the floor looking at me as if to say ' yeah...and your problem with my dismount is......???'
Shadow loves sliding off the sofa and thumping into the floor. I try and catch his hip before it hits the floor, but he doesnt seem to care - Shadow, the Sultan of Slide!! lol
