My Xantia boot is huge. Probably fit about 8 dogs back there. lol!
But no dogs go back there. It's a hair free zone Twisted Evil
Although my 2 fit lovely in the back of my clio. Plenty of room back there for just 2 dogs.

I only bought a new car last year - a new Golf Estate. Fits Doobs, Mills and Gracie perfectly. Now we have Finlay and he will grow to be a big dog. I think my next car will be another VW (I love them!) so will look at the Passat diesel as I have a feeling the boot is roomier. Having said that, its not that often I lug all four of them around anyway. If we all go out as a family, we use Darren 4x4 which has bags of room in the boot.

I would love a diesel Volvo estate (loads of dog room) but I can't afford one and I don't know if I'd find it comfortable anyway .

Oooh - are we talking the BIG Volvo estates? a few years ago now, my boss loaned me his for two weeks on condition I took him and the family to the aiport and picked them up. It was an automatic which caused a few hic-ups initially, but once I got over those - what a fabulous car to drive Very Happy

I have just gone diesel, cheaper tax and motoring Smile Smile

Only a fiesta TDCI but I only have 1 dog and no kids to carry around.
On longer journeys we go in OH's car.

Can't advise on a big car except maybe a focus estate or mondeo esate.

Good luck with your search x

Well fairly big.... I love the V70's or the XC70's too....any bigger than that and it wouldn't fit on the drive. Wink Laughing

I did have a crafty sit in a Saab estate a while ago too....Oooooo it was scrummy and much bigger inside than it looked... a bit like a Tardis really. Laughing

I too would absolutely love a volvo - XC70 or V70!!!!!!! Shocked

I also love 4x4s Embarassed and would really like one of these... I will also be changing my car this year as I currently have a MG TF - not practical for anything, never mind a Labrador or 2!! hehe Laughing

Mum & Dad had a Partner, fantastic car loads of space ( have had 3 piece suite & a dressing table in with seats down). Visibility is good and there are alsorts of hidey holes inside for dog and kid stuff to be kept.
Best of all it drives like a car an not klunky like a van, it's quiet on the road and has smooth steering and gear change.

Mum's car was a mobility car and we were told that it would go to auction when we returned it so it may be aswell to keep your eye out at the car auction places.
When it was returned the car only had about 7000 miles on the clock and Dad kept it in mint condition so it would have been a right bargain to buy.
