Well, if anyone saw my thread last week, I've gone and done it, I had my wisdom tooth out (under sedation) on Tuesday.

I was TERRIFIED!! I've never been in hospital or been sedated for anything in my life and I'm feeling rather pleased with myself Very Happy

So Wendy, I know you're due to have yours out next week. I just wanted to say that once it's done, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about - honestly!

Thanks for reading Very Happy

Ooooowwwwwweeee!!

I have to admit, I texted friends and family (me + dentist was quite a big story around here Rolling Eyes ) shortly after I got home from the clinic telling them I felt fantastic....

... then the anaesthetic wore off... Shocked

Glad it went OK Lucie. Very Happy

I must admit that I have occasionally debated whether to have this done, as all of my wisdom teeth are impacted and at strange angles. They have not been painful for many years, though, so whilst they are settled I will leave things be. Don't like dentists at the best of times, and I am a big scaredy cat when I do have to go.

Helen.

Helen, the only reason I had mine taken out was because it was growing out sideways and rubbing on my cheek. All the others have come down fine, luckily.

Believe me, I would have NEVER had it done if I could have possibly avoided it Rolling Eyes

My OH still has fingernail marks in his hand Wink

My lower two are sideways and stick out towards my cheek, but so far they have thankfully settled down and are not causing problems. I dread the day when they start to, though. My top ones are not perfectly aligned either, so I guess I might end up having them all removed - hope not though. Shocked

Helen.
