I'm so glad you and Sara had a good time. I took Ted, my dachsie to ring craft when he was a pup and the woman who ran it terrified us! She wore an anorak, a floral skirt, ankle socks and plimsols, was about 110 years old and shouted at us all!!!! The other people at the class were even more scarey......all stood in corners muttering and complaining about how the judges were biases because their dog hadn't been placed at whatever show they'd been to that week! It gave me and Ted the collie-wobbles and we never went back!!!
I shall be looking out for you and Sara next year at Crufts!!!
ohh lovely!!! I have never been to ringcraft but what you say amkes snese to me get them used to the environment first then do the rest later on. So glad you enjoyed it
Becs and Vicky, thankyou, I really enjoyed it and that's what it's all about, if i hadn't i couldn't carry on whether we end up in a proper ring is yet to be seen
I'm so glad it went well for you and Sara, Sharon. Sounds like you have found a good class there, and yes it is quite normal for her to just get lots of touchy feely stuff for her 1st few visits - Tots gets so excited when I take her that she spends half the time just rolling around on the floor so the male dogs in particular get a good luck at her She is such a tart
Practise with her at home - good for you too (makes note to practise myself - have not been to my group for ages ) She'll soon get the hang of it and love every minute
