I had great fun to , thought I was only there abut 2 hours and 6 hours had past. I loved the agility and flyball shows and Mary Ray dancing dogs and dod anyone watch the line dancing dogs great fun , and I had a quick chat with Ben Fogle too , He asked me if I was enjoying myself and If I owned any dogs in which I reply Yes and I even asked him if he has ever looked on labrador forum and he took the address down so you never know ?????and that was it 3 minutes of chat and he was gone but boy he is yummy . I spent a smalll house worth on everything I could carry and looking at all the wonderful gun dogs there has made me want one of each . My dad fell in love with the Clumber spaniel and I just love the curly coated Retreiver lovely and soft to the touch . Tried hard to look out for you lot but didn't hace much luck so sorry maybe next year .
Right I m off to bed as I'm pooped out .
Hope everyone who went had as much fun as myself and my father did .
CRUFTS RULES !!!!!!!
But i have also developed a HUGE soft spot for all things Mastiff
OH's auntie had one, he was 10.5 stone, and huge! Tickling his tummy was a two handed affair A big softee though, but the drool... OMG! They did rescue another who made that one look small, he was huge (Never met but saw the photos), he could literally stare you in the eyes He weighed 17 stone. Trouble is they have a shorter life span and not got the athletisim of the lab.
I just got home tonight - went out for dinner last night with a breeder friend and all our gang, and we all proceeded to get drunk and didn't get to bed until midnight.
We are all knackered tonight, it was such a long day yesterday. My feet ached for a while, until the alcohol kicked in . It was a great day though!
I saw Ben Fogle standing at the Labrador ring, and stood like a rabbit in the headlights as a TV camera came to take a look at Taz, who I was just getting off the bench - luckily I didn't see last night's show, so even if I was on it (which I very much doubt) at least I didn't see myself
I was so nice to meet Lucy, Di and Karl; shame I didn't get a chance to find anyone else (sorry Becs!) as it was really hectic. I did get a good look at the (hopefully) dad of my next puppy, and am well chuffed, as I think it will work well. Someone was asking about buying my puppies, as there was a lot of interest in their dad, but they are definitely not for sale!! Neither is their dad, no matter the price . I came home though to find two other people had met Lola and wanted to buy her - I'll have to keep a close eye on her in case someone tries to sneak off with her
Xena, a Belgium couple offered me a staggering amount of money for Deeds by 9am, I was taken aback, and it flashes through your head.... extension, new car, etc... but no chance
Di
