Well seems like the practice has gone downhill since I used to take Ben there Sad
I hope you get some answers when you get to ask the questions Carroll.
There should be enough buisness for everyone. And the more choice the better.

I know how annoying it is when someone removes something.I put a load of cards up in various places for Lab Rescue North West....and someone keeps removing this one card Evil or Very Mad Staff have no idea who Rolling Eyes

How rude.

Can't you suggest they put a noticeboard and allow people to advertise services (ie yours) and also for sale items etc? They could put a small sign to say that they are by no means endorsing anything on the noticeboards.

Frankly as a customer i expect my vets to be a source of local pet related information. It's a service a vets should offer. Exercise is important for dogs afterall.

I asked about boarding kennels here and was told they couldn't recommend Rolling Eyes So I said 'yes but if you had a dog, where would you take him?'
I also had a good experience with pet insurance here (its v rare and theres only 1 company offering it with a handful of policyholders). My vets said they couldnt share my positive experience with clients even in a verbal friendly manner. It makes me so angry as I know people are ignorant of pet insurance here and many animals dont get treatment they should.
Sorry i'm starting my own rant now Embarassed Embarassed

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for the vet to display a disclaimer just stating that they allow people to advertise but they are in no way recommending any service (or whatever). It all smacks of political correctness gone mad to me and I admire you for sticking to your guns and hopefully getting a meeting. Good for you!

I can understand what Vicky is saying. However if they are letting one person advertise (the OH of the person that works at the vets) then their restrictions can't be that hard and fast?
It sounds like they have seen you as competition and threw your flyers out which is grossly unfair IMHO. Evil or Very Mad Unfortunatly I'm not sure there is anything you could do about it? Confused
I hope you get an answer anyway from the vets.
