While I was at the vets with Majic this morning, I walked into the foyer and realised my flyers were not there and when and when I alked passed reception they were not on there either so didn't do anything at that moment as I was toing and froing with her Maj.

Anyway when it came time to pay I asked if all my flyers had gone and could I put some more out, the vet nurse I was speaking too was very nice and looked a little embarassed, but she says the practice manager says we are not allowed to have them as someone from the vets does this line of work already, I was gobsmacked and walked away then when I got home I let rip at my OH-bless him.

I must single handedly fund that vets (slight exag but we are there most weeks), nobody told me and my flyers have been thrown away and there must have been about 30 of them, they are promoted through me as they are my emergency point of contact for my clients pets and this is said to them when organising walks etc......and a few are now interetsd in moving to the practice Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I am all for some friendly competition in keeps you on your toes and I would reccomend people to this other man if I wasn't able to accomodate and I would hope he would do the same for me Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

My OH is trying to get an apppint with said manager so we can put our case across and we are still waiting on that one Sad

I am really angry and frustrated, the other vets have taken my flyers and I don't use them for anything, but I am seriously considering moving to them Confused

That's awful Carroll, they could have at least told you about that before you gave them any Rolling Eyes Or had the decency not to throw them away but give them back to you.

That beggars belief Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes , I'm sure there are enough clients who come through the door for you both as you can only take on so many surely Mad and they could of given your flyers back instead of binning them....... they obviously think you are made of money as u are there so often with your two Wink

I would definitely meet with this so called manager and give her a piece of my mind. How stupid, there must be enough people needing your kind of services to allow more than one service to be advertised.

Maybe tell them that you will be taking your clients along with you to the other vets, and you will recommend the other vets on your flyer. Thats should get their attention.

TBH its par for the course really. I know my vets wont have any leaflets in anywhere as it can also be seen as recommending one service over another - I know it sounds crazy but also if your vets is being seen to recommend you then they are also giving the impression that they have vetted your company - now I am in no way insinuating that there is anything in any way not recommendable about your company carroll Wink BUT legalities are crazy no adays. I know in my recruitment company we wouldnt publicise ANY organisation because if that org was used and something happened we could be sued Wink

Yeah I see what you are saying Vicky Wink it just annoys me that the other fella is only linked to the vets through his wife so he gets presedence (?sp) he has not been vetted by them Rolling Eyes
