Thanks so much for posting this - and for everything you do to help LL.
I have just read one of your emails, (i'm so slow in replying i am so sorry!) whereby you have thanked me for agreeing for this all to go ahead... WE should be thanking YOU!! Trizia, you really are the best, and it will be a great honour to finally meet you.. i hope the 'Faceprints' project turns out to raise loads for LL - and to reward you for all your hard work and effort.
I will sort out Brad's pic and sent it to you ok.
Thanks again Trizia & to everyone else who has/is helping out with the fundraising.
Thanks for posting that - what a lovely, lovely person you are.
Well done to you, Sue and Karen for all your fundraising efforts. And of course to all of you that play such a huge part in reuniting these precious labbies with their rightful owners. You are all FANTASTIC!
Gone all mushy now! lol! Must be them hormones again but please know that it is meant most sincerely.....
All the best,
Nic

PS. Triz, I think that piccie of you is brilliant - love that T-Shirt. And Fay my dear, now you know what its like when people catch you unawares with their camera At least you were stood upright!
Oooh - was asked to follow this up earlier today - but got a little sidetracked
Initially I did a thread donating a payment for every new member that signed up for Lost Labs over a specified period of time - helping to both increase membership and raise some money for the site at the same time
Then......
As some of you may know, I am a bit of a pedigree research addict (some might say an Anorak ) - and one day sitting here thinking about how I could help Lost Labs, I came up with the idea of donating money for each pedigree generously given to me by other LF members - hopefully helping to satiate my thirst for knowledge while raising some money for a good cause
Receiving recognition for this was something I had never anticipated or expected
I wasn't able to get to the main GT because it coincided with Clover's first show - but I did manage to get down to Devon a few weeks beforehand with Clover to meet Beth & Fester
As well as plying me with copious amounts of wine & some smashing BBQ food (prepared in the pouring rain under an umbrella by the long suffering Rhoni) - Rhoni appeared to be spending a fair amount of time on the phone to our friend 3p in Scotland - while they were trying to get MSN back up and running WHY?
To present me with a beautiful silver plate in recognition of the fund raising done for LL It was a very emotional moment, and gave me a an 'embarrassed' lift at what was probably one of the most difficult periods I have faced in recent years it wasn't expected - but very much appreciated - just a pity 3p didn't get to see my drunken facial expressions
Rhoni and 3p do an outstanding job for Lost Labs, and simply from my involvement in the search for one local lab a few months ago - I cannot begin to imagine the frustration they must go through selflessly trying to help others - their main reward being when pet and owner are successfully reunited - something that could happen even MORE often with your help.
Why did I do it? at the time, I was working every hour god sends, and couldn't give time to help - but felt I needed to do something.
There are many ways people can support LL - there are members on here which have given so much more than I have been able to - selflessly travelling the country to help out in searches - and everyone is capable of giving something - whether it be money, time - 5 minutes or 5 hours could make all the difference
Sue the thought and effort you put in to help LL was amazing, and at a time you could least afford the time........you were truly deserving of your title....and the wine...and the soggy drumsticks.........and I still have Martins watch here
I remenber that day it wasn't MSN we were trying to connect it was the web - cam then i would have seen your face
Lol - yes - that became clear a little while later - I was rather, um, shall we say mildy intoxicated that day - don't often meet someone whose wine glasses hold more than their tumblers and they were self replenishing - or at least thats what my head told me the next morning
the journey home seemed the quickest ever - Clover and I slept all the way home - it was also the day we realised what a major flirt Clover was going to be after she shamelessly wound up the lovely Fester
LOL Sue...yeah right ! Speaking of water..see they are at last opening a ferry from ' us' to ' you '

Sorry I am lazy...why have a piddly wine glass and be up and down all the time when a tumbler allows you to sloath longer....same CC difference, less leg work ...problem?

Have to agree, Clover was a complete and total tart.....Sue if you ever plan to breed her she will be the studs Xmas's all come together ( pun not intended ).....easy peasy. At even this young age she demonstrated a ' liking ' of the opposite sex

I know - watching with cautious optimism I just hope the Ferry has better stabilisers than the Waverly and Balmoral - as crossing that stretch of water is NOT for the fainthearted

PMSL - you are not kidding - she is terrible when we take her to shows even Penny said something along the lines of "my goodness, she's a bit of a girl isn't she" when she saw her in action At one show the GR were in the ring alongside the labs - and Clover was trying to roll from one ring into the other Oh well - I guess she keeps people entertained
