Ok... i think i have decided to brave it and camp for the weekend of the GT, fri night & sat night, then travel home on Sunday? Is that what most of you are doing? or are you staying another night on the sunday as well?

I have a 2 man tent which i don't think will be big enough, for 2 adults, 1 or 2 labs and stuff. So has anyone got any recommendations for tent makes? and where to buy?Or even borrow?
I think probably a 4 man tent would be good. Very Happy

I've had a look on ebay but i'm lost there are soo many to choose from?!

Bring on August!! Very Happy

I got this one last year Linzi after my small one let me down by leaking and getting me a tad damp!!

Havn`t had a chance to try it out yet tho, Nat had one similar which she and her mum along with Jack used, it has two bedrooms, so I`m hoping it`ll do for me in one side and Cindy and CJ in the other in their crates!!

Loads of room in the porch area too for any food etc you may bring with you, Nat and her mum kindly entertained a couple of us last year when it was tipping down outside.

If you don`t fancy that one have Ebay search engine find you all 3/4 berth tents, there`s more than 200 to look thru, you may see one you fancy more Very Happy

A couple of tips for you.

Make sure there is plenty of living space - one of the reasons we ended up giving our tent to a fellow LFer was because our tent wasn't big enough for when it rained, or we wanted to stay in the tent. (4 bodies and then, 3 dogs!!)

Make sure the hydrostatic rain thingy is high enough - so you don't get rained on!

Check the weight of the tent itself as some can be really heavy to lug around in the bag

Try to find somewhere which has them up and displayed. This is where we went wrong last year and just bought oe from eBay thinking it would be ideal as the was huge, but the layout was wrong for us. This year we plan to get a 'Sallytent' (Maxenergy's) as it was a tunnel tent and loads of room!
