Ooops, this is posted in the correct place now

One small question about the dog walking area - how vast is it? And how close are the horses - only ask coz Doobs is petrified of horses.

OK in answer to the first question.....

I went to the site for the reccie and the field is vast and by that i mean a number of acres!!

The 3 horses include 2 fully grown proper horses and a little pony thing ( sorry i'm not a horse person Embarassed )

ALL 3 horses are used to having dogs roaming round their field off lead but never in a group, so maybe no more than 2. To this end, the site owner did suggest she would ask the ower to pen the horses behind an electric fence with in the field, as mum has already said - as yet we have no answer to this....... If this happens there will still be more than enough acres remaining for your labs to run around in.

If anyone is concerned about their dog off lead with the horses or fence then you should be able to keep a fair enough distance away in the field on an extending/long lead Laughing

HTH

Thanks Kaye. Will have to keep him on a flexi til I know how he will respond to seeing the horses - like I said, he is petrified and only has to spot one and goes beserk. Silly sausage!

Sorry Carrol twas a bit of a sod to word........yes paying through LF for your requirements whether camping + GT ticket OR just GT ticket for those just coming on the day.

The payment box will be easy peasy. A drop down box for you to click how many nights ( if camping ) hook up needed? then automatically adds to tickets required just giving you the total...........trust me will be a doddle Wink

Hi Sonia,

I wouldn't overly worry yourself - i would say the field is in excess of 10 acres and if the horses are penned up then they will be round the side a bit ( i know it's difficult for you to imagine) but there will be plenty of room for you to excercise Doobs on a flexi lead without him even seeing them Laughing

I too have the same problem with Bailey and i can assure you i am not worried in slightest. Even if you don't wish to use the field - the location of the site is such that there are plenty of walks available Laughing

this might be a silly question - the tent pitches - is my car gonna be allowed anywhere near the tent??? its just i can envisage issues with Coal not settling in a tent with us and/or trying to eat bit so thought i might let him sleep in the boot of car but don't want the car miles away!!!

does that make any sense? Confused
