Hi Everyone,

For those not brave enough to join us at the campsite I have done my best to search out alternate accommodation for those that require their creature comforts.

Hartlebury Travel Lodge
A449 Southbound,
Shorthill Nurseries,
Hartlebury,
Kidderminster,
Worcestershire,
DY13 9SH

3.1 miles from Lickhill.

This is the nearest Travel Lodge but there are loads on the approaching motorways and A roads. If you go to www.travelodge.co.uk and add the post code for Lickhill you can find and book in to the one that suits you best.

Most of the Travel Lodges do allow up to two dogs per room for an additional £10 per dog per stay. It is very reasonable and having done it ourselves for the first GT we found them to be very understanding and accommodating.

OK and 2 more places to stay in Stourport on Severn (the same village of Lickhill) that allow ‘dogs by arrangement’.

The Stourport Manor Hotelwww.bookmenzies.com

Baldwin Housewww.smoothound.co.uk

Here is the email address for the local Tourist Information board bewdleytic@btinternet.com or their phone number is 01299 404740 and they are open daily all year.

Hope this is of use.

G'day,
Yeppers, booked Hartlebury (closest) and got a £15 supersaver room for Sat & Sun nights (think we might stay Sun as well and drive home slowly on the Monday, make it a long weekend).
I did not call in advance of booking to check if they accepted dogs, because in the terms & conditions of all Travelodges, number 19 says "Pets can accompany customers up to 2 pets per room. There is a charge of £10 per pet per stay. Please advise the hotel after booking."

So I booked, then called afterwards and confirmed with the manager that they do take dogs. He is REALLY lovely, like super duper wonderfully lovely, and he even asked me if I preferred an upstairs or downstairs room, and I said down so we can get Ozzie out in the night quickly if he needs to go out, and he then said "Oh yes of course well here, I'll put you right at the end of the corridor so it's quiet and your dog won't be upset with all the strange noises". Told you he was lovely!!!
