Well everyone, brace yourselves, here are the details of the 2007 LF GT Very Happy

The venue is ..........................

Lickhill Manor Caravan Park
Stourport On Severn
Worcestershire
DY13 8RL

www.lickhillmanor.co.uk

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SITE DIRECTLY see below *

Both the camping and the GT will take place in the same area so, unlike previous years, you will not need to leave the campsight and travel to the GT.
We are not, however, considered a rally. For those who are Camping and Caravan members, it makes no difference as LF has block hired the area.
We have a designated area that will be ours for the duration for both camping and the GT ( circle those wagons Wink )
Also the event itself will be set up and ready for kick off the night before so a prompt and organised start to a full, fun packed day can follow. There will be direct vehicle access to the GT for the day members and you will be able to park in our area.

Following last years GT floods Rolling Eyes The recci was done during the ' monsoon ' we recently had and the area was level and completly drained Very Happy It is also in a picturesque position along the River Severn.

Ok, general information about the site.......

Pet friendly
There are water taps in our area for thirsty doggies etc
A chemical disposal point.
A shower block with free hot water, toilets, facities to wash pots and pans etc, an electric razor point, hand hair dryers, baby changing facilities is close by / adjacent to our area.
A fully equiped disabled / special needs shower / toilet block is also on site, although in a seperate shower block a bit further away.
A public telephone
Part of our area is bordered by the River Severn and a 20 min walk along the riverbank takes you to Stourport on Seven.
Fishing permits are available at £2.50 per week / part week
Near the entrance to the site is a shop, open 7 days a week ( alcohol lol )
Pre ordered newspapers can be delivered to your tent
A chinese / Cantonese takeaway along with a Kebab / Pizza house will also deliver to the site ( we have catered for everything lol )
For the energetic there are some great walks that all emcompass / border the site with approximate walking times from 20 mins to 4 hrs. There are plenty of drinking holes and food buckets along the way some of which are doggy friendly.
BBQ's allowed although must be elavated ( on bricks etc ) to prevent grass being damaged / burnt.
.

Ok....more information that is very important and pertaining to us specifically.....

All dogs must be on a short lead at all times, not extending leads. To compensate for this there is a ' designated dog walking ' very large field adjacent to our area for your labs pleasure. The site's terms and conditions are very precise on this matter .....

'' 6 DOGS
6.1 Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times, not an extending type, Owners allowing their dogs to roam free on the Park will have their pitch occupancy terminated.
6.2 Dogs must not be exercised on the Park, including the Touring Field and the Rally Field, during or immediately prior to a Rally. The fields to the East and West of the Park are in The Company's ownership and are available for dog walks.
6.3 If fouling occurs, then it must be cleaned up immediately,; this is in the interest of all Park users especially children. There are Dog Litter Bins on the Park and Dog Litter Bags are for sale in the Reception.
6.4 Noisy dogs or those that persistently disturb other holiday home owners will be barred from the Park.
6.5 Dogs must not be taken into the washrooms.
6.6 Dogs are not allowed in the play area or near the play area including the "football" pitch.
6.7 Dogs are not to be left unattended such that they cause inconvenience to other park users.
6.8 The Company and the Park Managers have sole discretion as to the suitability of individual dogs on the Park and to the number of dogs to each caravan or tent. ''

This dog walking area does have 3 horses in it which are used to dogs, although there will be more than usual which may spook them, please be aware of this and don't allow your pups to bother them Wink
Lickhill are asking the owner of the horses if they can ' pen ' them for the day ( we don't have a reply yet ) although this pen will be an electric fence. Either way these horses may well be in eyeshot of our pups, but as previously said the area available is immense.... Wink Obviously your dogs are your responsibilty and liability.
Although bordered by the River Severn the dog walking field is not fenced off so it is possible for dogs to get through the hedge to the water ( same in GT/ camping area - but dogs have to be on a lead there so won't be an issue)

* Any camping bookings / questions regarding camping, the GT must come through us NOT Lickhill, they have insisted upon this. Lickhill will not discuss any arrangments to do with the Labrador GT they will merely refer you back to us. So please don't call them. They have simply hired us their land and facilities but require us to do all organising of pitches, bookings etc. The GT date is the busiest time of their year and we are lucky to have found such an accomodating site.

COSTS

Camping - same as previous years - because its high season a minimum of 2 nights is compulsory ( whether you use them or not ) Campers will not need to pay the parking fee on the day of the GT as their vehicle will already be on site.
Pitch with hook up £12 a night ( pitch not peeps )
Pitch with no hook up £10 a night
Day members ( site parking charge )........ car with up to 4 occupants £3.00

GT TICKETS
Adults £10 ( as done previously - £1 donated to lostlabs )
Children ( up to 16 years ) £3.00 ( 50p donated )
Family ticket ( 2 adults...numerous children up to 16 ..... Laughing ) £25 (£3 donated )

So the worse scenario if you are doing the whole sherbang is 3 x nights camping with hook up £36 and family ticket £25....= 3days camping ( with all on site entertainment Rolling Eyes ) and entry to the best event of the year for the whole family = £61..... Very Happy

BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS
Dave is setting up provision for payment on LF shortly. Payment will be required in full with the option for credit / debit cards aswell. It will be a single one off payment, either camping and GT tickets or day members GT tickets only.

Day members pay their £3 site entry on the day ( on production of their GT ticket....don't forget to bring them lol )
As soon as this is ready to go I will post to that effect. ( prepares for stampede lol )

Local accomodation is available and will be posted in a seperate thread shortly.
The itinery for the day will also be posted seperately.
I will also start a specific thread for Q's and A's for you to use purely for that purpose.
My sincere thanks to 3p, Kaye and Fay for all their help and hard work so far ( good creep ensures continued help Laughing Laughing )

Sorry sounding like a nag...but had to post everything...good and bad Wink

* wonders what I have forgotten? * phew Rolling Eyes

Happy? Very Happy
