After the initial flurry this all seems to have gone a little quiet. Is there any news on the chosen venue yet? I have booked the time off work but I'm just itching to take that final step and book my caravan pitch - makes it deffinite then. August is so far away at the moment, I needs crumbs, any crumb, of information to keep my fix levels up Lesley

I know Rhoni was going to be going around visiting the places on the shortlist which takes time, as lots of things they have to take into account when choosing the perfect venue - I know they will annouce it as soon as it is decided. They wanted to find out what the interest was for camping, attendees etc first. Last year's was only announced at the very end of Feb and that was with the venue confirmed... patience lol

Hi In response to this thread......just to say that Karen has just about summed up most of the situation. Thanks Karen. Bringing together a brand new GT is all time consuming. Lots of travel, phone calls, Insurances, legalities, tying up dates / venues with contributors and meeting necessary criteria for everyone to ensure the day is a complete success for you all. I did intend typing up and posting the details in full a few days ago but my daughter (Baileybear ) who is staying with me for obvious reasons, had complicated back surgery on Monday ( which didn't go as planned ) At the same time my newly diagnosed Altziemers father ( 85 and am his carer !) found out he needed double eye surgery, then he caught Flu! AND both girls down with KC. I have been a quadruple nursemaid and running on fumes all week! ( I know I have a bed somewhere ) Even before all this, the GT arrangements have been a full time ' hobby ' for 3p, Kaye, Fay and myself for the last 5 weeks, but this week has required 26/9 days. I do, however, intend having all the GT 2007 details posted by the end of this weekend. Don't do sympathy or ' poor me '....don't need healing vibes either etc .... just your patience for 48 hrs please. Many thanks
