Ugo has had all his test results back- pancreas is fine but the tests have indicated an overgrowth of bacteria in his small intestine. He could have had this for a long time and it may have something to do with why he caught salmonella and Giardia as any resistance he should have had to tummy bigs would have been decreased by it.
He is now starting another 6 week course of AB's- this time he is on 500mg of Oxycare 3 x day. He is also on probiotics and will have another Vit B12 injection next week. At least its not infectious!
I really hope that once this is sorted we can look forward to firm poos, weightgain and a healthy dog!

Ugo is officially a junkie with all his pills and potions Laughing - but he has been a real star and never once has he let all his troubles make turn him into a grump.

Awww Becs....Oyster said if Ugo is a Junkie, she'll be his Kate Moss (well she has the figure for it Wink ).

Lets hope his belly is sorted out once and for all (and he doesn't end up in Rehab at the end of this course of tablets).

Best of luck Becs and lets hope this is the start of full recovery for Ugo. It must be so worrying and upsetting when a pup is ill all the time and it is so difficult to find out what's wrong.
Typical lab though, god knows what it would take to make these sweet creatures grumpy.

Best wishes
Fay x
