My daughter contracted Campylobacter when she was 15 months, she was poorly on and off for about 5wks. Chicken and dogs are natural carriers!! As long as you wash everything thoroghly you are fine.

Thankyou all very much 
Just been and dropped my insurance form of at the vets, so had a chat with the vet nurse. She said it's a bit like worms the kids could catch that so as long as my hygiene is ok, hopefully no one will catch it.
I'm alot happier now still can't believe it how much the poo test was though £59.00  so for 2 visits and the bits they have given her £140. This is the first time i've claimed on pet insurance so it will be interesting to see how long it takes to sort out
