Hi All,

Posted original message in wrong forum so here it is in the correct one!

Just thought you'd all like to know about a book I have come across which is a true story about a yellow lab named Marley. Have only just purchased my copy but it sounds a wonderful book. You can check out prices and reviews on Amazon.

Happy reading!

I have bought the book but not started reading it yet. Was recommended to me by someone on my Beardie list when they heard I had rescued a lab.

How many boxes of tissues do I need?

love

Found it!!
Marley and Me
by John Grogan

John and Jenny were just beginning their life together. They were young and in love, with a perfect little house and not a care in the world. Then they brought home Marley, a wriggly yellow fur ball of a puppy. Life would never be the same. Marley quickly grew up into a barrelling, ninety-seven-pound steamroller of a Labrador retriever, a dog like no other. He crashed through screen doors, gouged through drywall, flung drool on guests, stole women's undergarments, and ate nearly everything he could get his mouth around, including couches and fine jewellery. Obedience school did no good - Marley was expelled. Neither did the tranquilzers the veterinarian prescribed for him with admonishment, "Don't hesitate to use these." And yet Marley's heart was pure. Just as he joyfully refused any limits on his behaviour, his love and loyalty were boundless, too. Marley shared the couple's joy at their first pregnancy, and their heartbreak over the miscarriage. He was there when babies finally arrived and when the screams of a seventeen-year-old stabbing victim pierced the night. Unconditional love, they would learn, comes in many forms.

sounds good, I just bought it on ebay.
