Billy has had the squits for a couple of days and i just assumed it was something similar to what Alfie had last week, so i've been giving him chicken and rice but yesterday we ran out of chicken so i gave him a boiled egg and mashed the shell up and gave him that too as my aunt said the vet had advised her to give the whole boiled egg to her dog who had the squits so i thought i'd try it.

Anyway this morning his poo was streaked with blood and seemed mucousy (sp?) Confused I'm wondering if the egg shell had cut his bum and made it bleed Embarassed Confused the shells are coming out whole, as is a fair amount of the rice (sorry for TMI) Confused

Does this sound like he needs to see the vet ASAP or would it be ok to wait and see if his next poo is any better before booking him in?

(Mods i hope this is ok to put in off topics as he's not a lab but i'd really like some advice)

TIA

Sounds like something Jansen had let me check in health area. He had some treatment from the vets & it soon cleared up.

Just phoned the vets and she asked how he was in himself and i said he was fine so she advised to starve him for 24 hours first and then go onto chicken and rice, if that doesn't work or he doesn't seem well in himself, to call back for an appt.

Feel a little less worried now Smile

Thanks guys xx
