Yes it was good to see that Dog World took him on board. I have also seen him on Labrador Rescue South East and Central site they have a full page on him.

We have also done some local searches around Middx Bucks and Berks
I am going to be away for a while but will be able to keep in touch by the internet and e-mail. I do hope he is found soon Regards Meg

Hi guys... count me in... I am in Dunstable Bedfordshire.

I have already been working too. Meg, the page you saw on LRSEC appeared yesterday after my conversation with Wayne @ LRSEC. He personally said to get in touch if there is anything else he can do. I am going to reply and see if he has any contacts that can publish more information about george.

I have also approached the publishers of 'Travellers Post' to ask their assistance to spread word in their communities, along with details of the reward.

I am also a member of the Camping and Caravan Club and will be approaching them for help across their national network of sites.

On a very serious note guys, I know it sounds like a good idea to approach travellers as per Rhoni's suggestion, but I wanted to ask you to proceed with caution if you do. Some travellers (not all) are reknowned for being quite hostile to strangers on their property or approaching them. If this is a course of action you choose to follow, please proceed with caution, and do not go alone.

Keep up the good work everyone, and lets make Caroline and George proud!!

Hi Anth...

WOW Thanks for all you are doing....please keep us updated..

As for the Travelers comment, it was termed very loosely, as in a general approach, not full on..maybe even just through a council official / dog warden just ' passing ' type thing. But they are a link !

The fact that you have made contact with the Travelers main body, mentioning the reward, may lure someone into talking......Thanks for that

Your point is very valid and taken onboard. And a heavy hand was never on the cards.
As said the plan is still in it's infancy and we will /would be taking onboard all help and suggestions as to the best way to deal with different factions...

Sam will be be spending the next couple of days coming up with a plan and all help and advice will be greatfully recieved.

Many thanks Rhoni and Sam

Hi Rhoni

I do hope I didnt come across too harsh in my words. I wasnt sure what you had planned that was all, but I do agree, they are a very strong link and that should not be ignored.

I emailed my regional C&CC rep last night with the link of Georges info, so hopefully they will email other regions and get the poster put up everywhere around the country. Fingers crossed!!

Incidentally, I am in Brighton and saw this article on the tv news on thursday night. Is there a way to join forces with this lady??? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/4600531.stm

Hi Anth,

That BBC site looked great, it shows that with enough of a case TV will take it on board, hopefully Sam will see this, as it will help in her 'planning weekend '

Be interesting if the dog is found in those areas though wouldn't it? Wink

No you didn't come across too harsh, as I said help with dealing with all factions is greatfully recieved and thanks for all you are doing.

As you can imagine this is a huge task that will hopefully not only get George's details everywhere, but also highlight the massive scale of dog theft and all connected to it. So all help is humbly taken onboard Very Happy

Hello all

I have noted all above and taken on board all your comments, what you have already done etc

Will be starting to work on the 'plan' later this afternoon and will put it on this thread later tomorrow unless I can't sleep tonight and get it all finished earlier!! Laughing

WATCH THIS SPACE!

Sam
