We are hopefully going to be able to entice the media in for the search of George, but in the meantime, we are going to ask all members if they are availabe to help too.

The idea is to utilize any participating members to ' sweep ' their vets, rescue centres, pet shops, travellers grounds, all possible considerations etc by email or otherwise.

The areas that can't be covered we will do.

As bespoken before, hopefully, there will be media back up, on a National level but the need to do ground work is still ivery mportant....
Anybody out there happy to help?
If so please give your location.
This is very much in it's infancy and still trying to create a plan.............please speak to Sam or I for deatails
We are looking for geographical help..to try and cover as much of the country as possible.

Following extensive chats tonight ( yeah I know it's 1.20 pm ) Julie has wholeheartly given her approval for us to do this.
Many thanks

P.S Please refer to George the missing labrador's original post, for further information on how he was stolen....

Hello all

Further to what Rhoni has put above the main thing we want to do is hit the media if we can with an big email shot - which isn't as easy as it seem, even though we all feel for George and want to find him, I am very sad to say it George might not be news breaking to editors, for the 100's of emails I would like to send out only a small percentage might actually come to fruition but its worth a try for George's sake and we want to give it a go.

To do this a database needs to be put together which can be very time consuming and what we are asking for is volunteers to spend half an hour or so of their time (or more if they wish!!!) seaching out certain email addresses off the internet. I have media publications at home so have the information for newspapers, radio etc even though for some of them I will have to search out the email addresses.

Other groups I would like to hit are TV programmes ie animal related programmes, chat shows, even childrens programmes like Newsround etc etc. I would even like to try (as Caroline already mentioned on a previous thread) and get in touch with some labrador owing celebraties but that is not an easy task. I am sure the list is endless. What I will do is put a plan together breaking it down into sections and then hopefully delegate a section to a member to seach out the information required and then email it back to me.

If any of you have any other ideas I would be grateful to hear them

If anyone would like to help with this research perhaps you could let me know by either adding your name and area to this list or by sending me a PM.

Many thanks and lets try and find George Very Happy

Sam

PS I shall be about most of the weekend (apart from the odd Corrie walk) as I will be carless so plan to put as much time as I can into this, lets see if we can get it to work

Hi Keren

Please see the link below to find out more about George.

http://www.labradorforums.co.uk/ftopict-17.html#36141

We are planning to hit all local newspapers and tv stations with an email about George so Don't worry the Nottingham ones will be on the list. Might need you help with a bit of research is that is ok though?

Thanks

Sam & Rhoni
